Program & Curriculum
Early Discoveries is a play-based preschool. We support children’s overall development by allowing them to learn naturally through hands-on, meaningful experiences. The children will build strong social skills, cooperation and problem solving, also developing emotional regulation, independence and confidence.
Free play, circle time, song/dance, arts & crafts, centres, sensory, dramatic play, daily physical activity, indoor/outdoor, weather permitting. We have theme-related in-class and out-of-class field trips as well as special presentations and visitors.
The teacher will listen to a child’s concerns and will explain to the children how the conflict can be resolved. Children are encouraged to apologize if they have caused any harm to another child. The children are then separated and redirected. If the situation is more difficult and requires first aid, the teachers will attend to the child, administer first aid and write up an incident/accident report. Childcare Connect will be notified as well as the parents.
